Safer Space

At John Diep Photography we strive to create an environment that is safe for everyone.

I believe that every body is is a good body, and every person deserves to celebrate that in whatever manner is meaningful to them, without judgement.

I would encourage you to review the following guidelines to understand the practices that we are all expected to follow at John Diep Photography to make our experiences as safe and inclusive as possible.

No Hate

In our space there is no room for racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, misogyny, body shaming or fatphobia, or any other form of discrimination. We are open to all body types, gender identities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. We don’t use language that is offensive against marginalized people. We do our best to tear down harmful stereotypes and structures.

Every Body is a Good Body

We believe that every body is a good body. We hope that you give yourself and others peace and acceptance during our photo sessions. We don’t promote diet culture by talking about dieting, weight or size. Getting your photo taken is an immensely private and emotional experience, so we encourage you to immerse yourself into it and feel however you want to feel, but we will never try to assume what that means to you.

Don’t Assume

We don’t assume anyone’s gender, sexual or romantical orientation, background, class, ability, etc. If we need your personal information, we will politely ask if necessary, and respect the answer we get.

Respect Boundaries

We respect everyone’s physical and emotional boundaries. We never touch or make adjustments without permission. If we happen to bring up subjects that might be difficult without realizing, please tell us and we will respect that, without judgement.

Privacy

Your privacy is paramount to us. For more information around our privacy practices please visit our Privacy Policy.

Please Tell Us

We are not perfect but we can always improve! I am happy to receive constructive feedback that helps to strengthen our goal of maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for people to express themselves and create beautiful imagery. If you see room for improvement, or perhaps something that is working well, please don’t hesitate to communicate this to myself directly, or any of our team members at any time.
